Brooklyn Residence - Wallabout Street
About
We worked with the client to make a modern residence in Brooklyn feel like home.
For the grand stairwell that spans three levels, we envisioned a dramatic yet graceful solution. Enter Twist, a luminary masterpiece composed of 60 pendants in clear and frost, cascading from a 3’x3’ square matte white canopy. Each hand-twisted tube delicately captures and refracts light, creating a mesmerizing dance that gracefully illuminates the vertical expanse of the stairwell, offering a warm embrace to those ascending or descending its steps.
In the open-concept living and dining areas, where light plays an essential role in defining ambiance, we introduced the Tamar Wand. Balancing form and function, we chose one of our radiant designs to create a chandelier that sits above the stately dining room table which seats twelve. The Tamar Wand’s long and linear design can stand up to the beautiful wooden piece, and is both elegant enough for dinner parties and bright enough for late-night school projects. The chandelier’s little sister, in the living room, is centered in between seating and the marble fireplace, subtly demarcating the hearth as the heart of the home.
To enhance the hallway room, we created a custom Ivy Branch with a brass and walnut wood finish.
